Cabarrus Arts Council

Where: The Glenn Center120 Marsh Ave., Concord, NC 28026

To engage, enlighten and enrich our community through the arts. The Cabarrus Arts Council has three main objectives: to support arts organizations through Grassroots grants and publicity; to support individual artists through Regional Artist Project grants and public relations; and to provide arts programming for the schools and community. "Students take pART in the ARTs!" is a comprehensive performing arts program that brings curriculum-related professional performances to all kindergarten through 12th-grade students in both public school systems and participating private schools. The Art Enrichment program trains volunteers to take reproductions of famous works of art into elementary schools. The council co-sponsors Pops in the Park, Union Street Live, Downtown Reading Program, Silver Arts Festival and Art in Public Places.
