At this program,
participants will learn how
to navigate the financial
aspects of a job
transition, including
benefits (health and Life
insurance),
budgeting, what to do with
retirement rollovers, and
the tax consequences of
various ways of dealing
with these important issues.
They will also learn
about new decisions faced
by those who become employed
again, and their
financial impact. The
program will be interactive,
with opportunities for
questions. Attendees will
receive materials to take
notes and facilitate
later study at home.

"70 Years of Batman"
Michael Eury, executive director of the Historic Cabarrus Association and
author of The Batcave Companion, will be giving a multimedia presentation on
the development of Batman and his impact on popular culture over the 70
years since his first publication. Eury is a former writer and editor at DC
and Marvel comics and current Concord resident. Signed copies of The Batcave
Companion will be available for purchase. This program is free and open to
the public.
